There are a lot of FPL Price Changes to sink our teeth into ahead of the game's official launch for the new 2024/25 season.
The game teased some of the more noticeable price changes pre-launch, including Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (£15m), who is now the most expensive player in FPL history, and Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer (£10.5m), who has seen the game's biggest ever rise of £5.5m as he was only priced at £5m at the start of last season's game.
However, there were also some prices that were not revealed pre-launch, as we take a look at the five most surprising ones. Also, check out the best fantasy football team names for every club supporter.

FPL Price Changes: Top 5 biggest surprises
1. Stefan Ortega (Manchester City) – £5.5m
Ortega is clearly second-choice goalkeeper for Manchester City while Ederson is still at the club, so pricing him amongst the most expensive goalkeepers seems a little excessive. However, Ederson has been linked with a move away to the Saudi Pro League, so perhaps FPL are preparing for that.
Nonetheless, should the Brazilian stay at the Etihad Stadium, picking Ortega for your FPL team would be a costly mistake. Typically, there is more value in other areas of the pitch when it comes to FPL points.
2. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) – £6m
Typically, Trippier has always been a valuable FPL asset, as his ability to score points from set pieces as a defender show. However, Newcastle United were not among the best defences last season, and so Trippier may struggle for clean sheet points once again.
Yet, he has been placed in a more expensive bracket among players who play for teams that boast better defences, so may be a costly pick. Also, Trippier was dropped in some games at the end of last season, and so may not be a guaranteed starter week in and week out.
3. Jurrien Timber (Arsenal) – £5.5m
Timber barely played any football last season after suffering an ACL injury in Arsenal's opening Premier League game against Nottingham Forest, and so to see him priced fairly highly in FPL is somewhat of a surprise. He may not be first choice either given how solid the Gunners were defensively last season, and the wealth of options that they have.
Arsenal have also been strongly linked with the signing of Bologna and Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori, which could impact Timber's minutes. Nonetheless, this should be a wait and see in terms of Timber's fitness.
4. Christopher Nkunku (Chelsea) – £6.5m
Nkunku was injured for a lot of last season, and so perhaps it is not too much of a surprise to see his price drop. However, we all know what he is capable of having watched him tear up the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, and so he could end up making a mockery of his price if fully fit.
He has also been switched to a midfielder, even though he could play up front. This means more potential points for goals and clean sheets.
5. Joao Pedro (Brighton) – £5.5m
Another player who has perhaps been priced too cheaply is Pedro. He started more often than not for Brighton and Hove Albion last season, and crucially for FPL, is a penalty taker.
The Seagulls have generally been a solid attacking Premier League team, and will be looking for a surge under their new manager. Nonetheless, Pedro has the potential to be an early FPL bargain.
