Gianluigi Donnarumma is reportedly open to joining Manchester United as speculation intensifies over his future at Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG have decided to make Lucas Chevalier their long-term option between the sticks and are set to finalise the signing of the French goalkeeper for around €40m (£34m). As a result, Donnarumma is widely expected to leave the French capital this summer, although the possibility of the two goalkeepers coexisting has not been completely ruled out.

Several clubs have expressed interest in the Italy international, with Manchester United among those monitoring the situation. The Red Devils are actively looking for a replacement for Andre Onana and consider Donnarumma an ideal candidate for the number one spot.

According to Team Talk, Donnarumma is interested in a move to Old Trafford, drawn by the stature and history of the club, even though United will not be competing in Europe next season.

The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at PSG and is currently valued at €40m (£34m) by Transfermarkt.

Manchester United, who have struggled to offload Onana, are reportedly exploring a potential loan deal with an obligation to buy, should they fail to secure a move away for the Cameroonian. Such a solution would allow Donnarumma to avoid competing with Chevalier at PSG. However, this option has not yet been formally discussed between the clubs.
