Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Brazilian goalkeeper John Victor following his impressive performances for Botafogo at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Earlier in July, the Red Devils were linked with the 29-year-old, who rose to international prominence after a standout display against Paris Saint-Germain during the tournament. United have been actively searching for a long-term replacement for Andre Onana, and the Botafogo shot-stopper has now emerged as a serious option, according to Caught Offside.
The report claims that United were particularly impressed by Victor’s clean sheet against PSG, where he kept the French champions at bay despite facing numerous chances.

While Manchester United have not submitted a formal bid, talks are said to be ongoing behind the scenes. The Premier League side are reportedly prepared to match West Ham United‘s €8m (£6.7m) offer, which corresponds to the player's release clause.
Everton are also believed to be in contact with Victor's representatives, while several other European clubs – including Manchester City, PSG, Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid – are monitoring the situation closely.
