Manchester City transfer news: €100m bid considered for Savinho successor

With Savinho reportedly on his way to Tottenham, Manchester City have started looking for a replacement and may have identified a star to fill the role.

The Skyblues recently rejected offers totalling £86m: £60m from Tottenham for Savinho and £26m from Nottingham Forest for Rico Lewis. However, the Brazilian winger remains linked with Spurs, with City setting a hefty asking price of £66.5m for the former Girona forward.

Although that fee is high, Tottenham are reportedly just £6m away from meeting City’s demands. With Savinho’s potential exit looming, the Premier League giants are already moving in the transfer market to secure a replacement. According to Caught Offside, Rodrygo is being viewed as the ideal successor.

Rodrygo to Manchester City as Savinho replacement?

The Real Madrid winger has been linked with a move away since the start of the summer. Pep Guardiola and City are reportedly ready to push ahead if Savinho leaves. The Spanish manager is a big admirer of the 24-year-old and is said to have quietly outlined his project to him.

The British outlet reports that Manchester City are considering a €100m (£86m) bid for Rodrygo, structured as £69m guaranteed with £17m in performance-related bonuses. Real Madrid are understood to be open to selling the Brazilian international, who is also reportedly being monitored by Liverpool and Arsenal.
