Manchester United have renewed their interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha as they assess potential additions ahead of the January transfer window.
The Germany international remains a key figure under Niko Kovac and recently signed a contract extension until 2030, but United are understood to have made contact over a possible move, per reports.
Liverpool are also monitoring Nmecha as an alternative target to Bournemouth's Alex Scott, while Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle, Manchester City and Arsenal have all tracked the midfielder.
However, Dortmund are reluctant to sell and value the 26-year-old at around £84m, with a £67.5m release clause not becoming active until summer 2027.

Manchester City are leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Mathis Albert as Europe's top clubs circle the highly-rated winger.
According to reports, City made a formal approach for the 17-year-old during the summer and have continued to monitor his situation, having previously been prepared to pay between €20m (£17m).
Chelsea, who also hold a long-standing interest, were willing to spend a similar amount, while Paris Saint-Germain previously explored a deal before talks failed to progress.
Dortmund remain determined to keep Albert, whose contract runs until 2027, although limited first-team opportunities could increase speculation once he turns 18 next year.
Arsenal and Spurs battle over Nicolo Tresoldi

Arsenal are continuing to monitor Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi but face competition from rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the in-demand forward.
The 22-year-old enhanced his growing reputation by scoring a Champions League hat-trick against Inter Milan, becoming the first player since Gareth Bale to achieve the feat against the Italian side.
Tresoldi is attracting interest from across Europe, while Italy and Germany are also battling to secure his international allegiance.
Reports now suggest his asking price could prove difficult for AC Milan to meet, potentially leaving the Gunners and Spurs in a stronger position should Club Brugge decide to cash in.
