For many years now, Barcelona have been courting Bernardo Silva, who has ultimately always remained at Manchester City. With the Portuguese midfielder or winger now in the final months of his contract with the Sky Blues, could this long-awaited deal finally happen next summer? According to Sport, the former AS Monaco man has already expressed his desire to join the Catalan club on a free transfer next summer.
At 31, he wishes to continue his career at the highest level and join a European giant, as he plays his 9th season at the Manchester club. However, for Bernardo Silva to join Barcelona, the Catalan sporting directorate must first open the door to his arrival. Which is far from guaranteed.
Barca see no need to strengthen midfield
