Luton vs Tottenham: Betting Tips & Predictions

We're bringing you our Premier League predictions for Saturday's early kick-off between Luton Town and Tottenham Hotspur. Fresh off the back of their controversial win over Liverpool, Tottenham make the relatively short trip to Luton this weekend. The hosts failed to build upon their excellent win at Goodison Park last weekend as they returned to losing ways at home to fellow newly-promoted side Burnley in midweek.

Tottenham & Both Teams to Score

  • Tottenham are unbeaten in their last nine meetings with Luton but the pair haven't played since 1992.
  • Luton have lost five of their opening seven league games.
  • Tottenham have won five of their opening seven league games.
  • Both teams have scored in four of Luton's last six outings.
  • Each of Tottenham's last five matches in all competitions have produced goals at both ends of the pitch.

Son to Score

  • Son top scores for Tottenham this season with 6 league goals.
  • The South Korean forward has scored 3-goals in his last two league games.
  • Last season Son only scored 10 league goals and looks likely to surpass that tally in the 2023/24 campaign.

Luton vs Tottenham Lineups and Last Match

Luton

Luton played out a tight and tense first half at home to Burnley but did concede a goal late on so trailed at the interval. The hosts looked like they have done enough to earn a point when substitute Adebayo fired home in the 84th-minute only for Burnley to score a winning goal straight after, silencing the home faithful. Lokonga, Osho, Potts, Clark and Bell are the main injury concerns for Luton this weekend.

Predicted Lineup – Kaminski (GK), Lockyer, Burke, Mengi, Kaboré, Mpanzu, Nakamba, Doughty, Morris, Ogbene & Brown

Tottenham

Tottenham secured a 2-1 win over Liverpool last weekend thanks to a goal from Son and an own goal from Matip deep into stoppage-time. However, this game will go down in history as the day VAR made a major mistake with Liverpool having a goal ruled out for offside when it was clearly onside as the scoreline was poised at 1-1. The Reds had two men sent-off in this game, one of which being substitute Jota who picked up two yellow cards in the space of a minute. Perisic, Sessegnon, Bentancur, Gil, Lo Celso, Johnson and Whiteman could all miss the trip to Luton this weekend through injury.

Predicted Lineup – Vicario (GK), Romero, Porro, van de Ven, Udogie, Maddison, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Sarr, Son & Richarlison

Player to Watch: Richarlison

Tottenham's Brazilian forward is starting to show his true ability to the Spurs fans now that he is getting more game time.

The former Everton hero has scored two goals and created two goals in the Premier League this season, setting up Son to score against Liverpool last time out.

There is plenty more to come from this hardworking forward and we can see Richarlison working his way into the hearts of the Spurs' faithful this season, especially if he starts scoring a few more goals as we expect him to.
