Aston Villa vs Leeds: Top Two Betting Tips

Aston Villa will be looking to put some more distance between themselves and the relegation zone by securing all 3pts against Leeds in the Premier League this Friday. The visitors will be hoping that Friday the 13th doesn't turn out to be an unlucky day for them as Jesse Marsch's men sit 2pts above the drop zone and could slip into the bottom three this weekend if they lose this game.

Aston Villa to Win

We're backing Aston Villa to come out on top at home to Leeds as the hosts have won three of their last four competitive and non-competitive matches against their guests. Villa have secured 4pts from their last two league games, while Leeds haven't won a game since returning from the international break at the end of December, so you can see why we're backing a home win on Friday.

Both Teams to Score

We're hopeful of goals going in at both ends of the pitch in this game. Both teams have scored in three of Aston Villa's last four outings in league and cup, and the hosts have only kept two clean sheets in their last six attempts. Five of Leeds' last six outings in all competitions have witnessed both teams scoring, which only adds further weight to our prediction for Friday's sole Premier League fixture.

What will the lineups be for this Premier League clash?

Aston Villa

Aston Villa's last Premier League game came at Villa Park where they played out a 1-1 draw with local rivals Wolves. Podence fired Wolves in front after just 12-minutes but the visitors couldn't hang onto their lead and Ings equalised 12-minutes from time. A hamstring injury will keep John McGinn from playing against Leeds on Friday, while teammate Diego Carlos is still out following surgery on a long-term injury.

Predicted Lineup – Martínez (GK), Young, Digne, Mings, Konsa, Cash, Buendía, Kamara, Luiz, Watkins & Bailey

Leeds

Leeds were at home to West Ham for their last league game where the two teams played out an exciting 2-2 draw. Leeds took an early lead through Gnonto but the sides went in at the break level and the Hammers moved in front very early in the second forty-five. Rodrigo rescued a point for Leeds 20-minutes from time and a draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play. Sinisterra, Gray and Dallas have been ruled out of the trip to Villa Park but Forshaw and Bamford are in with a slight chance of returning to the first-team squad following injuries.

Predicted Lineup – Meslier (GK), Cooper, Ayling, Koch, Struijk, Roca, Adams, Aaronson, Rodrigo, Summerville & Gnonto

Player to Watch: Danny Ings

There has been a lot of talk about Danny Ings leaving Villa Park in January but the former Liverpool man is still playing a vital role at Aston Villa,

Ings top scores in the Premier League for Aston Villa this season with 6-goals, that;s three more than his fellow striker partner Ollie Watkins has managed.

Aston Villa rejected a loan bid from Everton for Ings last week but there are rumours that the club would let their 30-year-old striker leave on a permanent deal. personally, we believe that Villa would be mad to let Ings go, especially to a Premier League rival, as this man always scores goals wherever he goes.

If Ings has another good game against Leeds on Friday then we are sure it will end any transfer speculation.
