It is time to take a closer look at the latest transfer news today, with Premier League clubs keeping their eyes wide open for potential business deals.

One of the biggest stories of the day concerns Liverpool, with the Premier League champions keen to splash more cash on attacking talent – this time in the form of a highly-rated Spanish forward.

Elsewhere, West Ham’s hopes of bringing a Galactico to the London Stadium appear to have been dashed, with Real Madrid not entirely keen on sending one of their brightest talents to London.

Here are the biggest headlines of the day…

Chelsea consider January move for French prodigy

Chelsea are keeping close tabs on AS Saint-Etienne teenager Djulian N’Guessan, with the 17-year-old struggling to agree a new deal with the Ligue 2 club, according to Peuple Vert.

The centre-forward is out of contract in the summer of 2027, meaning Saint-Etienne may be forced to sell the player to the highest bidder, in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Chelsea are already circling the waters ahead of the January window, though they are likely to face competition from Championship side Watford and Serie A duo Inter Milan and Udinese.

ASSE are reportedly looking to get at least £8.5m for the player, having already turned down a £6.5m bid from fellow French side Paris FC last summer.

Premier League champions Liverpool are ready to splash upwards of £65m for the signing of Spanish international and Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams, according to Fichajes.

The 23-year-old has been on Liverpool’s radar for a number of years, and despite already spending a big portion of their £446m summer outgoings on creative players, the Reds are clearly far from done.

Williams does have a £78m release clause, though the Premier League side are hoping to negotiate that number – especially with Williams struggling with recent injuries.

Bilbao have to decide whether to cash in on the player in the next couple of windows or take a chance on his recent injury setbacks and sign him up to a longer deal.

West Ham suffer blow in pursuit of Real Madrid’s Endrick

West Ham have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of a loan deal for Real Madrid forward Endrick, with the La Liga giants worries about the Irons’ lowly position in the Premier League, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Los Blancos are hoping to send the former Palmeiras prodigy out on loan, with the 19-year-old struggling for opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti and new boss Xabi Alonso.

West Ham were hoping to boost their attacking options by signing the Brazilian star in the winter window, though Real Madrid are not considering the London Stadium as a realistic destination.

With the World Cup just around the corner, Endrick is determined to get more time on the field – something he has not received this season, failing to play a single minute under Alonso.
