Bayern Munich are reportedly in talks with Chelsea about a move for Christopher Nkunku. The former RB Leipzig man has failed to establish himself as a regular in West London since signing for the club in 2023, and a return to the Bundesliga could now be on the cards.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are insisting on a permanent deal for Nkunku, while Bayern would prefer a loan deal. While talks continue between the two clubs, the player is said to be keen on the move.

If a deal is agreed for Nkunku, then it will could room in the Chelsea squad for Xavi Simons. The Dutchman has been on the club's radar all summer, and dominoes will start to fall if Nkunku moves on.

Although Nkunku has failed to deliver at Stamford Bridge, his record for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga has clearly swayed the fellow German outfit, who have also recently added Luis Diaz to their list of forward options.

Liverpool youngster Ben Doak is on the verge of a move to AFC Bournemouth after the Cherries agreed a transfer deal with Liverpool for the winger.

According to the Guardian, Liverpool will receive £25m for the player, who spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship. Doak missed several games through injury during his time in the north-east, but still managed to score three Championship goals and provide seven assists.

Eagle-eyed Liverpool fans believe that the transfer could be part of a string of moves that effectively initiates the sale of Alexander Isak, having already signed as many as seven new players this off-season.

The idea is that Bournemouth will sign Doak to replace Brentford-bound Ouattara, who will fill the void left behind by Yoane Wissa, who will join Newcastle. That move will then allow Newcastle to part ways with Isak.

In what could turn out to be one of the deals of the summer, Sunderland are on the verge of wrapping up a deal to sign PSG defender Nordi Mukiele.

According to Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie, the Black Cats are in advanced talks with the 27-year-old, who now appears close to agreeing a move to the North East.

Mukiele may have fallen out of favour at PSG since joining for around £14m in 2022, but it's important to remember he was well-sought after across Europe just three years ago when he was playing for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

If he can recapture his best form, then it could turn out to be quite the coup for the Black Cats, who have already spent close to £150m on new summer signings.
