The transfer window may still be closed for clubs across Europe right now, but many of the Premier League's biggest teams continue to be linked with several potential deals.
Arsenal are among the headlines as they eye a free transfer ahead of the summer, while Newcastle United are plotting a move for a rival top-flight midfielder.
Here are your biggest headlines of the day:

Man City lead Premier League race to sign Daniel Banjaqui

Manchester City are one of many Premier League teams considering a move for teenage Benfica talent Daniel Banjaqui, who is also attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd.
It's thought that Pep Guardiola's side are leading the race, with the 17-year-old gem viewed as a player for the long-term future at the Etihad Stadium rather than the here and now.
Valued at around £850,000, it could be a shrewd piece of business from City, who don't tend to buy youngsters like this very often.
Banjaqui has already been in and around the first team at Benfica, featuring three times under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho.
Newcastle have strong interest in Bournemouth midfielder Marcus Tavernier

Newcastle are reportedly keen to bring Marcus Tavernier back to the north-east as they consider a move ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who currently plays for top-flight rivals AFC Bournemouth, was once on the books at St James' Park before joining Middlesbrough aged 14.
His form at the Riverside alerted the Cherries in 2022, and he has since continued to catch the eye on the south coast, with the Magpies and Man Utd impressed by his performances in 2025/26.
Having registered ten goal contributions already this season, Tavernier was quickly tied down to a contract extension, so it remains to be seen exactly how much the £18 million-rated Englishman would actually command.
Arsenal in driving seat to sign Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka

Arsenal continue to be heavily interested in signing Leon Goretzka on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
That's according to German journalist Christian Falk, who has told CFBayern that the Gunners “are currently leading the race” to sign the 31-year-old midfielder.
He also claims that while they did not make an offer in January, the Premier League leaders did ask about his long-term future. Goretzka, meanwhile, is said to view the English top-flight as a perfect destination due to his playing style.
North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested, but given their situation on the pitch right now, it is unlikely to have much of an impact on Arsenal's pursuit.
