The summer transfer window is behind us, but that has not stopped certain Premier League clubs from trying to complete various deals.

Manchester United, for instance, have overseen a huge overhaul of talent over the summer. There is still more work to do, with one unwanted defender looking to complete his exit.

Everton, on the other hand, are looking to strike a new deal with a club legend. The Toffees are expected to offer another long-term deal to one of their most loyal players in recent years.

Manchester United are still looking to offload Tyrell Malacia, who is not wanted at the club by manager Ruben Amorim, according to a recent report.

The full-back reportedly turned down a late offer from Ligue 1 side Lille, while a proposed loan move to Elche collapsed in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

Luckily for the Red Devils, the window remains open in selected countries. Clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, for instance, can still sign the United defender. However, with the clock ticking, these next few days could be crucial to resolving the situation.

Malacia arrived at Old Trafford in 2022 following his £13m move from Feyenoord Rotterdam. The player made just 25 Premier League appearances across three seasons, with his market value plummeting to around £7m.

Everton are looking to open contract talks with star goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who will be out of contract at the end of June 2027.

According to Sky Sports, the Toffees want Pickford to stay at the club for the rest of his career and are willing to offer the keeper another long-term deal.

The 31-year-old is in the midst of his ninth season with Everton, and he is reportedly happy at the club. During his time on Merseyside, Pickford has been able to establish himself as England’s first choice – that’s despite battling against relegation last season.

With a new stadium, a new ownership group in place and the team posting encouraging results under David Moyes, the club are hopeful Pickford will commit his remaining years to Everton.

Former Burnley skipper Josh Brownhill is expected to complete his big-money move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab.

According to BBC Sport, the player is due to sign a two-year deal with the club.

Brownhill departed Burnley at the end of last season and has been chased by the likes of Brentford, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City and West Ham. Despite this, he appears to have set his mind on the Middle East.

Al-Shabab are currently managed by former Real Sociedad manager Imanol Alguacil, and they recently lost their opening game of the season 4-1 to Al-Khaleej.

The midfielder is hoping to join Belgium international Yannick Carrasco, as well as former Southampton and Watford defender Wesley Hoedt. Brownhill spent five long years at Turf Moor, making 211 appearances and scoring 32 goals.
