Anyone with a passing interest in football will be able to tell you that Bayern Munich are the most dominant team in German football. The Bavarian side have dominated the Bundesliga since its inception, and the reason they are able to continue swatting away all competition is their financial might.
Year on year, Bayern have far and away the biggest wage bill in Germany, so in a list of the highest-paid players in the Bundesliga, it is no surprise to see several Bayern Munich stars.
Do any non-Bayern players make the top five? Let's find out.
Highest-paid players in the Bundesliga this season
Harry Kane – €480,000 per week
Harry Kane is the highest-paid player in the Bundesliga, which is no great surprise given that he has finished as the league's highest goalscorer in each of his three seasons at Bayern Munich. Kane's deal is set to expire next year, and he may need to move on to remain on these wages, given he will be 34 years old.
Jamal Musiala – €440,000 per week
Jamal Musiala comes in at number two on this list. Again, this adds up, as he is considered Kane's right-hand man at Bayern Munich. Given his age and ability, Musiala is hot property and may well land a bigger deal than this when he signs his next contract.
Joshua Kimmich – €385,000 per week
Joshua Kimmich has been a permanent fixture in the Bayern Munich side for more than a decade, and has done enough to earn his status as the Bundesliga's third-highest earner. Kimmich's current deal runs until 2029, and is likely his final ‘mega' deal, barring a move to Saudi Arabia or the USA.
Dayot Upamecano – €310,000 per week
Dayot Upamecano is seen as Bayern Munich's best and most reliable central defender and was rewarded with a new contract in February 2026. The Frenchman has seemingly been around forever, but is still just 27 years old, meaning more big deals could be on the way before he retires.
Manuel Neuer – €290,000 per week
Rounding off the top five is Manuel Neuer. The German goalkeeper has previously earned more than this, but he cannot argue with being on these wages at the age of 40.

Highest-paid non-Bayern Munich players in the Bundesliga
As we can see, all five of the highest-paid Bundesliga players play for Bayern Munich. In fact, you have to go down to number 10 on the list until you reach a player who doesn't play for Bayern. The following players are the highest earners away from Bayern Munich
- Nico Schlotterbeck – €180,000 per week
- Serhou Guirassy – €180,000 per week
- Gregor Kobel – €174,000 per week
- Felix Nmecha – €154,000 per week
- Exequiel Palacios – €145,000 per week
The first four players on this list all play for Borussia Dortmund, but you have to get through 11 Bayern Munich players before you reach Dortmund's top earner. Exequiel Palacios is Bayer Leverkusen's top earner, which makes their Bundesliga title triumph back in 2025 all the more impressive.
