Cristian Romero next club odds: Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona locked in battle for Tottenham star

Cristian Romero was one of Argentina's standout performers at the 2026 World Cup, helping La Albiceleste reach the final before they suffered a narrow defeat to Spain.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender is now expected to leave North London this summer, with a number of clubs reportedly competing for his signature.

Romero initially joined Spurs on loan from Atalanta in 2021 before the move was made permanent, and he went on to make 156 appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals.

Where will Cristian Romero end up this summer?

Atletico Madrid have emerged as the leading contenders for Romero's signature, with reports suggesting that Diego Simeone's side are close to reaching an agreement for the Argentine.

The Rojiblancos are priced at 1/5 (1.20) to sign the Tottenham defender, although there is still competition for his services.

La Liga champions Barcelona are also reportedly interested, with the Catalan giants priced at 9/4 (3.25) to bring Romero to Camp Nou.

Premier League champions Arsenal have been linked with the 28-year-old as well, although a move to Spurs' North London rivals appears difficult to imagine, with the Gunners priced at 6/1 (7.0).

Romero is also available at 13/2 (7.50) to remain at Tottenham, while Inter Milan are priced at 7/1 (8.0) to secure his services this summer.
