Ferguson's valuation has plummeted in recent times, with the 20-year-old managing just two starts in the Premier League this term. It is claimed Brighton are currently “inclined to insist on an obligation clause” if they decide to let Ferguson go on loan.
Arsenal, meanwhile are not expected to spend big on a number nine this month.

Arsenal's attack is often very flexible, as Kai Havertz consistently likes to drop deep and move into wide areas. Ferguson, however, is a more traditional striker who occupies the central zones. He will add a solid presence in and around the penalty area and provide Mikel Arteta with an alternative way to attack.

Ferguson isn't a starter at Brighton and it is very unlikely he will get the main role at the Emirates. Havertz should keep his place even if the transfer goes through. Still, the young striker could provide healthy competition to Havertz, owing to the different skill sets he brings on the pitch compared to the silky German.

The key thing for the talented forward is to return to full fitness and accumulate minutes on a regular basis without much spotlight.
