EA FC 25 Ultimate Team Tips: Starting your journey

Once you enter UT on your console for the first time, you will be given a free starter pack of players that make up your first UT squad. These will all be untradeable, and will be a mix of bronze, silver and gold cards.

You will have one of nine nations to pick from, which will make up most of the players you are given. The nations available are: Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.

We would recommend choosing either Argentina, Brazil, England or France, as they will help you to complete Foundations Squad Building Challenges (SBC) later.

Club kits and badge pick

Once you choose your starter pack, you will then be asked to choose a home and away kit and a badge for your club, again with nine options in each section. These are all tradeable, so we would recommend choosing the items that you think will sell for the most coins.

This will give you a starting coin balance that could come in handy later on in your journey. Typically, the items that sell the most are from popular clubs or nations, or ones that look the most aesthetically pleasing.

Loan player pick

Once you have chosen your kits and badge, you will then be asked to swap a player in your starter squad for a loan player. They will typically be high-rated Rare Gold cards that can help elevate the quality of your team.

It should be noted that the player swapped does not have to be from your starting XI, it can be from your bench or reserves. We would recommend swapping a low-rated Common Bronze player with an unpopular nation and/or from an unpopular league.

EA FC 25 Ultimate Team Tips: Grind the menus

Before entering into a game, you should look through the Objectives menus to see if there are any rewards you can claim, and any easy objectives (usually found in the Foundations section) that you can do in order to gain more coins, packs and items for your club. If you played EA FC 24 UT, you will also have some free “Welcome Back” packs to open in the Store section.

We would then recommend going into the SBC section and completing as much of the Foundations SBCs as you can with the players that you already have in your club. Typically, the first few SBCs are deliberately easy to do, as some will only recommend only a handful of Bronze players and little or no chemistry.

You will get rewards for every SBC that you complete, so they are worth doing, especially in the early stages when your coin balance is so valuable.

Play games to complete objectives

Once you feel you have built a competitive enough team, you can jump into a game. We would recommend starting offline first, as you can complete a lot of objectives from the Milestones and other sections quickly playing against the AI on a low difficulty, and gain plenty of valuable rewards for the start of the game.

New to UT this year is Season Points, where each season you can gain points that can unlock rewards for other modes in the game, such as Career Mode and Pro Clubs, as they are all interlinked. Rush is also a new and exciting mode to try out in UT, and equally you can accumulate Rush Points, as well as other rewards, from playing it.
