Crystal Palace new signings: Confirmed ins and outs for Summer 2025

Crystal Palace have done remarkably well under Oliver Glasner this season, and they should be aiming to push for a top-six place, which is highly possible if they maintain consistency.

In this article, we will familiarise you with all the key Palace deals, and also feel free to check out our dedicated Palace transfer targets page for all of the latest rumours circulating around Selhurst Park. Perhaps just as key as signing new players for the squad was for Palace to try and keep hold of their best players too.

The Eagles have managed to keep hold of Marc Guehi, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Adam Wharton, but their long-term futures at Selhurst Park are in doubt. Guehi has made it clear to the club that he will not sign a new deal, and Palace may be willing to let him go at a cut-price price in January rather than lose him for free next summer.

The 2026 January window is crucial for Palace, and they are expected to sign a few players this month. Bolstering the forward department is essential as they need to replace Eberechi Eze, who left the Eagles to join his boyhood club Arsenal for a reported transfer fee of £67.5m, including add-ons. Glasner is also missing a host of key players, such as Daichi Kamada, Ismaila Sarr, and Eddie Nketiah, and needs more quality up front.

The Eagles have reportedly reached a £33.5m agreement to sign Brennan Johnson from Tottenham Hotspur, and the Wales winger is expected to join in the next few days after completing his medical.

Crystal Palace new signings Summer 2025

Walter Benitez (PSV)

Palace officially signed goalkeeper Walter Benitez once his contract expired at PSV this summer. The 32-year-old is highly experienced, making a total of 134 appearances in all competitions across three seasons for the Dutch side.

He also kept an impressive 43 clean sheets in those games and will provide stern competition for Dean Henderson in between the sticks.

Benitez signing grade: B

Getting a player of Benitez's experience and quality on a free transfer should not be sniffed at. He should push Henderson on in the goalkeeping department, and will be useful given Palace's extra European games in the 2025/26 campaign.

Borna Sosa (Ajax)

Palace have also signed Borna Sosa from Ajax for a reported transfer fee of £3m. The 27-year-old left-back has signed a three-year deal at Selhurst Park.

Sosa has been capped a total of 26 times at senior international level for Croatia, and played 25 times across European and domestic competitions for Ajax. Sosa has also played for the likes of Stuttgart and Torino in the Bundesliga and Serie A respectively.

Sosa signing grade: B

Sosa will be a useful squad player and will provide needed competition for Tyrick Mitchell. A left-back was certainly needed after Ben Chilwell's loan spell from Chelsea ended.

Yeremy Pino (Villarreal)

Palace's most expensive signing of the summer transfer window was that of Yeremy Pino, who joined for a reported fee of around £26m including add-ons. The 22-year-old Spain international attacker signed on a five-year deal from La Liga side Villarreal.

Pino signing grade: A

Pino has been brought in as Eze's replacement, hence being given his old number 10 shirt. He has impressed in La Liga and at international level, but Eze's boots are big ones to fill.

Jaydee Canvot (Toulouse)

Palace also managed to bring in promising young central defender Jaydee Canvot from Ligue 1 side Toulouse for a reported transfer fee of around £23.3m including add-ons. The 19-year-old has signed on a four-year deal at Selhurst Park.

Canvot signing grade: B

Canvot is still only young, so should be expected to make mistakes. However, there is no doubting his ability and potential.

Christantus Uche (Getafe)

Palace's final signing of the summer transfer window was that of Christantus Uche on a season-long loan from Getafe. There is reportedly an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

Uche signing grade: B

An unproven player in the Premier League, signing Uche is certainly a risk. However, the 22-year-old Nigeria international attacker also boasts plenty of quality and an eye for goal.

Crystal Palace transfer window rating so far: Grade C

Palace have brought in a number of solid squad players, but not many that can significantly improve the starting XI. Keeping hold of in-demand players like Guehi have also been key to be fair.

In terms of other outgoings, Glasner's side has done well in terms of trimming the squad down, while retaining the core group of the squad that have done so well in the Austrian head coach's reign so far. Indeed, they followed up their FA Cup win with a triumph in the Community Shield, beating reigning Premier League champions and favourites to retain their crown Liverpool in a penalty shootout after holding the Reds to a 2-2 draw in normal time.

The new signings have been largely underwhelming. Pino, who replaced Eze, has only scored one goal and provided one assist in 17 Premier League appearances this season, while Borna Sosa has managed only 27 minutes of Premier League action thus far.
