Approaching the winter transfer window, Chelsea are thinking about strengthening. The English club would be considering making a multi-million euro offensive for two FC Porto players.
Without necessarily being convincing in terms of play, Chelsea have achieved satisfactory results since the start of the season. The London club are currently second in the Premier League, six points behind leaders Arsenal and are well placed in the Champions League (provisionally fifth). Enzo Maresca's second act is going well, despite some inconsistencies and several injuries hampering the team's rise to power.
And precisely, to iron out the imperfections, Chelsea would like to improve their squad this winter, when the transfer window opens. Several players are being tracked, notably at FC Porto. According to information from journalist Fraser Fletcher of TEAMtalk, the Blues appreciate the profile of Samu Aghehowa and Victor Froholdt, the two young stars of the Portuguese giants.

Chelsea targeting two reinforcements at FC Porto
Samu Aghehowa is valued at €50m (£43m) on Transfermarkt. The Spanish striker is highly appreciated in the transfer market, notably by Tottenham. FC Porto have set the 21-year-old player's clause at €100m (£88m), whilst for Victor Froholdt, although his price is estimated at €22m (£19m), he also has a release clause in his contract, valued at €85m (£75m). Manchester United are also following him.
In other words, whilst the combined value of the two players is worth €72m (£63m), significantly more will need to be spent to hope to obtain the services of the two Porto key players. Chelsea have been warned and know that competition will be fierce on this case, in the same way as for Zeki Celik, a Blues target who also interests Real Madrid and PSG. What is certain is that the English club will be active during this winter transfer window.
