Millwall vs Blackpool: Our top betting tips

Both of these sides suffered rather poor defeats during the week. Will either rebound by taking three points here? Find out with our Millwall vs Blackpool match preview with free tips, predictions and odds mentioned along the way.

A point apiece will have to do

We begin our predictions for this match by calling it a draw as these two do battle. Millwall have lost four and won one of their past five games. Blackpool meanwhile have won one, lost two and drawn two in the same period. Drill into the home and away specific form and there remains little between the sides. Millwall have won three and lost two of their last five at home with Blackpool having won two, lost two and drawn one of their past five away from home. Throw in a head to head record that reads as two wins each and one draw and there really is very little to separate these teams. Draw it is.

A low scoring game

Our next prediction for this match is one that backs under 2.5 total goals. Millwall have seen four of their last five – and each of their last three – home games go south of the 2.5 goals mark. Blackpool meanwhile have seen three of their past five away games also go south of that 2.5 cut off. Finally, we've got the head to head record to consider. Three of the last five meetings have also gone under 2.5 goals. In our view, all of that points towards a rather dull affair.

Two out of form teams go looking for a win

It hasn't been the prettiest of periods for either of these sides with just the one win each in their respective last five games. Whilst talk of a relegation battle isn't yet on the lips of either fanbase, the longer these runs go on the worse it gets and you feel the loser of this match could start to get a tad twitchy that it's more than just a poor spell.

It's been a tough old time for Millwall and whilst they're not riddled with injuries right now the return to fitness of the likes of Shaun Hutchinson and Mason Bennett wouldn't be a bad thing. Isaac Olaofe could come back into the thinking for this game pending a late fitness test.

Millwall Predicted lineup – Bialkowski, Cresswell, Cooper, Wallace, Shackleton, Mitchell, Saville, Styles, Flemming, Bradshaw, Voglsammer

Blackpool are hardly decimated by injury right now but do have a couple of players missing. Keshi Anderson, who was a big player for the Seasiders last year, is among those to miss out. Kevin Stewart and Jake Beesley are two others due to be unavailable for selection.

Blackpool Predicted lineup – Grimshaw, Ekpiteta, Williams, Thorniley, Gabriel, Thompson, Connolly, Dougall, Poveda, Yates, Corbeanu
