Algeria had a disappointing AFCON campaign, where they crashed out in the group stages despite being one of the pre-tournament favourites. On the other hand, South Africa impressed at the Nations Cup, winning bronze.

Player to watch: Baghdad Bounedjah
Baghdad Bounedjah impressed at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, scoring three goals in three group games. In spite of this however, Algeria crashed out of the tournament after the group stages.
Interestingly Bounedjah has struggled to find his best form since the Nations Cup ended. He is now without a goal in his last seven appearances for club and country.
It'll be interesting to see how the Al Sadd player will match-up against this Bafana Bafana side.
