Al Nassr most expensive signings: Portugal star leads the way in €60m move

Much has been made of the Saudi Pro League's recent forays into the transfer market. Al Nassr have been at the head of this charge, signing some of Europe's finest players over the last few seasons, including the 2025 summer.

On top of their hefty offers, Al Nassr and other Saudi clubs have spent even bigger on wages, but in this article, we will look at the Al Nassr's most expensive signings ever.

5. Joao Felix

The former Benfica and Atletico Madrid wonderkid didn't have a lot of success after leaving Spain, but despite his struggles in the last few seasons, Al Nassr still had to pay a hefty sum to Chelsea for his services.

Will we see Felix make a resurgence in Saudi Arabia and help Al Nassr win that illustrious title, remains to be seen, but given he's still just 25 years old, the Portuguese certainly has enough time to turn his career around.

4. Sadio Mane

Sadio Mane had a year's pit-stop at Bayern Munich on his way from Liverpool to Saudi Arabia, a path also trodden by Roberto Firmino, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.

The Senegalese star and AFCON winner has impressed in his new environment, scoring 13 and providing eight assists in his debut campaign and he remains one of the team's most reliable starts in his third season with the club.

3. Mohamed Simakan

Another expensive signing for Al Nassr last summer was Simakan, who comes from RB Leipzig. The 25-year-old French defender has proven himself in Germany and he kept his good performances in Saudi Arabia too.

Simakan remains at Al Nassr for the upcoming season as they will finally try to win the Saudi Pro League title that has eluded them in the last few seasons despite heavy investments in players.

2. Otavio

Near the top our list is one of Al-Nassr's Portuguese stars, but not the one you may expect. Cristiano Ronaldo, despite his huge wages, was actually signed on a free, while his compatriot Otavio was purchased for £51m.

The versatile Brazilian attacker had a release clause in his FC Porto that Al Nassr activated in summer 2023 and he spent a couple of seasons with Al Nassr before moving to another Saudi club this summer, Al Quadsiah.

1. Jhon Duran

When Al Nassr signed Duran from Aston Villa last winter, he was supposed to be a great partner to Ronaldo up front and to his credit, he did well by scoring 12 goals in 18 appearances for the club in all competitions. This was certainly a solid return for the teams biggest transfer ever.

However, the young Colombian forward quickly became restless in Saudi Arabia and wanted to leave, which is why Al Nassr have loaned him out to Fenerbahce this summer. Once his loan ends, it remains to be seen whether Duran will change his mind about staying at Al Nassr or will he move on permanently.
