Marcus Rashford faced disciplinary problems coming into the match, much in the same way he does now, and Erik Ten Hag put him on the bench. Rashford was brought on at half time and scored a superb individual effort to break the deadlock. Both teams had further chances to score as the game went on but United hung on for the win.

Man Utd welcomed Wolves to Old Trafford in May 2023 in dire need of a win after suffering back-to-back league defeats. Liverpool were closing in on Erik Ten Hag's men in the race for the top four so United needed the three points and that's exactly what they got thanks to goals from Martial and Garnacho. Man Utd secured their place in the top four the following week with a 1-0 win away at Bournemouth.

The most recent Wolves v Man Utd H2H came on the opening weekend of the 2023/24 Premier League. Wolves created several sensational openings throughout the match but their finishing let them down which allowed the home side to steal the win through a Raphael Varane header late on.
