A Manchester City rising star is attracting interest from Tottenham and is reportedly ready to join the Spurs this summer.

Signed in the summer of 2024 from Troyes for around £21 million (€25m), the 21-year-old Brazilian winger has had a promising first season with the Sky Blues. Although not always a starter, Savinho earned his place in Pep Guardiola’s attacking rotation, scoring 3 goals and providing 13 assists across 48 appearances.

The early months brought plenty of encouragement for this left-footed right winger, who has been compared to Riyad Mahrez. The second season was highly anticipated by both fans and City’s staff — but it might not happen at the Etihad. According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have expressed strong interest in the player.

Discussions are underway between Spurs and City over a potential deal for the Brazilian winger. Tottenham’s new head coach Thomas Frank reportedly views Savinho as the ideal recruit to boost their attacking options. The player himself is said to be open to a move if both clubs reach an agreement.

This would be a surprising decision on paper for Savinho, who joined one of the world’s top clubs on a contract running until June 2029 — yet he could leave after just one season. Following Jack Grealish, who is close to joining his third Premier League club (Everton), City may lose their Brazilian international, currently valued at around £42 million by Transfermarkt.
