No bid has been made by Spurs yet, but Ipswich are said to want at least £40 million for the 21-year-old they signed from Man City's academy for about one third of that price in the summer.
His potential is huge, and eight goals in 21 Premier League games for the strugglers is impressive, but that's a big gamble for a player with just eight Premier League goals to his name.

Spurs' run of recent form has been dreadful, but scoring has not been the issue, as their tally of 45 goals is over 10 more than any other side in the bottom eight, with centre-forward Dominic Solanke contributing much of that.
A knee injury for Solanke has forced Ange Postecoglou to bring in a new forward, but one would still expect the ex-Bournemouth man to start if Delap joined Spurs.
