Chelsea willing to sell Fofana
Chelsea spent big on an equally highly-rated defender in the summer of 2022 but now he is no longer considered an integral part of Enzo Maresca's side. Signed from Leicester City for £68million, Wesley Fofana has not managed to get his Chelsea career going due to fitness issues.
Now, French publication FootMercato reports that the London outfit are prepared to part ways with the Frenchman. Marseille are understood to be open to bringing the ex-Saint-Étienne star back to France but only if Chelsea agree to a loan deal.

Palhinha keen on Bayern stay
Over in Munich, Joao Palhinha is supposedly prepared to fight to get his career back on track at Bayern. The Portuguese has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Fulham, after his struggles in the Bundesliga.
Still, Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claims Palhinha has no intention of leaving Allianz Arena. He dreamed of joining Bayern and wants to find his feet at the club but should the Bavarians urge him to find a new destination, the 29-year-old would reconsider his stance. At the moment, the German giants are open to listening to offers but aren't determined to get rid of him.

Atletico eyeing Liverpool flop
Atletico Madrid's gamble on Manchester City's Julian Alvarez last summer has paid incredible dividends. Now, Diego Simeone is looking to place his trust in another Premier League striker with an uncertain role at his current club.
Spanish outlet AS reports that Atletico are considering signing Liverpool's Darwin Nunez as they could lose Angel Correa after the Club World Cup. The Merseyside club have already informed the Uruguayan of their desire to part ways with him in the summer. Their aim is to raise around £40million by either selling him or loaning him out with an obligation to buy.

Liverpool preparing for record-breaking window
Nunez is expected to be just one of many fringe players at Anfield who could be shown the exit door as part of a massive summer overhaul. In order to defend their newly won league title, Liverpool's hierarchy are reportedly set to back Arne Slot with one of the club's biggest-ever summer transfer budgets.
As per The Telegraph, the Reds' main summer priorities are a new number nine and a left-sided defender. Up front, their main target is Newcastle United's Alexander Isak but he is likely to be priced out of a move. Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike has emerged as his alternative. Meanwhile, Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez and Huijsen are both admired by the Merseyside giants.
