Hearts have enjoyed a mixed season across all competitions to date, but all things considered, they can be relatively pleased with how they have dealt with the departures of their manager and captain in the summer.

They are just one of just two Scottish sides to have qualified for the league phase of any European competition this season, and they have done well over their last five European fixtures, losing just once.

At the same time, they have experienced some bruising defeats in recent weeks, including a 7-1 league loss to Celtic and a cup semi-final defeat to their city rivals, Hibernian, at the weekend.

A win here would go a long way to rectifying those defeats, as it would put the Jammy's in with a good chance of getting out of the league phase/group stage of a European competition for the first time in the club's history.

Manager Wouter Vrancken is missing several players for this one, with Oisin McEntee, Christian Dale Borchgrevink, Harry Milne, Ageu, Blair Spittal, Tom Renaud and Craig Halkett all definitely out, and Calvin Miller and Rogers Mato considered doubts.

As for Thun, they too are playing for history, as they have also never made it out of a group stage/league phase of a European competition.

As things stand, they have little chance of changing that this season, as they have lost both of their league phase matches so far, leaving them with four games to turn their fortunes around.

A win against Hearts would breathe new life into their campaign, but their form coming into the match isn't that of a team capable of reeling off wins in Europe. The Swiss side are currently ninth in their domestic league and have already lost nine matches in all competitions this season.

Manager Gian-Luca Privitelli has injury issues of his own, with Louis Passavant, Genis Montolio, Fabio Saiz, Mats Seiler and Marc Gutbub all ruled out.

A total of 14 goals have been scored across Thun's last two matches. Over 2.5 goals has been priced at 1/2.

Claudio Braga has scored three goals in his last five Hearts appearances. Braga to score anytime has been priced at 8/5.
