Slovan Bratislava played out a 1-1 draw with Skalica in the Slovakian top flight over the weekend. They had the chance to take the lead late into the game but were unable to convert a penalty.

Interestingly, the hosts have won five of their last 10 matches in all competitions, with all five victories coming on the road, as they have not won a home game since mid-August.

Yaya Toure's troops suffered a 6-1 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener but have gone unbeaten in four games since.

On the positive side, the 43-year-old manager has no injured or suspended players ahead of this skirmish. Kenan Bajric picked up an injury in the defeat against PSG, but the centre-back has since recovered and will be available for selection.

Stuttgart, on the other hand, resumed their Bundesliga campaign with a 2-0 victory at Paderborn on Saturday. The visitors have now won three consecutive matches without conceding, although two of those came in friendly matches.

Head coach Sebastian Hoeness has a long list of absences ahead of this trip, including Ameen Al-Dakhil (knee), Jazinho Malanga (abdomen), Justin Diehl (thigh), Luca Jaquez (muscle), Maximilian Mittelstadt (heel), Tiago Tomas (muscle), and Nikolas Nartey (thigh), while Jeff Chabot's availability is questionable.

Unlike their opponents, Stuttgart kicked off their Champions League campaign on a winning note by defeating Viking 3-1. Ermedin Demirovic was at his devastating best, netting a first-half hat-trick. The 28-year-old is available for selection and is expected to lead the line once again.

Furthermore, Stuttgart have had a solid track record against Slovakian sides. They have won two and drawn one of three previous clashes with Slovan Bratislava and are unbeaten in seven previous meetings with teams from Slovakia (W5, D2).

Whispers Predicts: Slovan Bratislava 1-3 Stuttgart

Priced at 7/20 (1.35), Stuttgart are clearly favoured by the bookmakers ahead of this encounter.

Slovan Bratislava have lost nine consecutive matches in the league phase of this competition, and one of those was a 3-1 home defeat against Stuttgart in January last year.

Considering Stuttgart's dominance over Slovakian outfits, we are confident that the visitors will claim all the spoils here.

Both teams were on the scoresheet in each of Slovan Bratislava's last five fixtures and this can be backed at 4/6 (1.67).

Over four goals were scored on average in Slovan Bratislava's last 10 outings in all competitions, so we fancy over 3.5 total goals at 9/10 (1.90).
