Burnley vs Brentford – Burnley (-1.0)
Although still the underdogs at home given their awful form across the board in 2023/24, we still expect Burnley to win here. In reality, it’s these types of games and against opposition such as Brentford where they should get points on the board.
The attacking style of play the Bees own should open this game up, and although the Clarets are unlikely to get a clean sheet after failing to do so since beating Fulham 2-0 nine games ago, they should still get more goals than Brentford.
Brentford themselves are struggling tremendously this season and although Ivan Toney's return has seen them bag more, the club have won just twice since his return to action against Nottingham Forest by beating them and Wolverhampton Wanderers. This also means that 2-0 win is the only clean sheet Brentford have kept since beating Chelsea way back in October.
It's about time Burnley got back to winning ways, and Brentford at home might just be the perfect game to do so. Odds for them to win against a -1.0 handicap sit at 6/1 (7.0).
Fulham vs Tottenham – Tottenham (-2.0)
Tottenham Hotspur are only 1/1 (2.0) to win away at Craven Cottage against Fulham, despite sitting with 18 more points and five more wins after playing one less game too. Spurs can actually get into the top four with a win here, as Aston Villa don't play until Sunday away at West Ham United. This added motivation and their superiority over Fulham surely gets the Lilywhites the win.
In fact, Spurs even head into this game having defeated Villa 4-0 at Villa Park in what was no doubt the result of the season for them. The club have also defeated Fulham this season by beating them 2-0. Fulham lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out, and with only 10 wins on the board and 44 goals let in, it really has been a mediocre season for the west London side.
For Tottenham to win against the -2.0 handicap line, you can get odds of 13/2 (7.5).
West Ham vs Aston Villa – Villa (-1.0)
Speaking of Villa, this game could see them start the match at the London Stadium down in fifth after Spurs' game against Fulham. The Villians lost to Tottenham last weekend, but this didd end a winning run of three games for Unai Emery's side.
West Ham have turned their form around slightly with a three-game unbeaten run in England. However, their form is very topsy-turvy this season, and with a brilliant result in midweek against Freiburg, they will give Villa a good do. However, the likes of Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins are likely to be too much for them, especially given how they defeated West Ham 4-1 in the reverse fixture.
Odds for Villa to win against the -1.0 handicap line at the London Stadium are at 7/2 (4.5).
