Premier League BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals betting

As the Manchester derby takes centre stage on Sunday, let’s take a look at two other games that should record a win in the BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals betting market.

BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals betting – games in focus

Brentford vs Chelsea

The Premier League gets going with the game between Brentford and Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, and this London derby should see a bunch of goals come in. Ultimately, both sides are having very underwhelming seasons, as further misery was heaped on Chelsea’s position in 11th by an EFL Cup final loss last weekend, while Brentford are only five points above the drop zone.

The Bees saw six goals spread across a 4-2 win for West Ham United on Monday, and after losing 1-0 to Manchester City and 4-1 at home to Liverpool, it now means a three-game losing run for them.  They have, however, scored against City earlier in February in a 3-1 loss, while they also won 2-0 away at Wolves.

Chelsea have also already suffered a home defeat to Brentford, as their London neighbours ran out 2-0 winners at Stamford Bridge. Worse yet for the Blues, Ivan Toney is also back in action now and already has four goals in seven Premier League matches.

Odds for both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in this game is at 8/11 (1.73).

Fulham vs Brighton & Hove Albion – A game that could swing either way

Fulham are heading into this one after their best away win of the season and one of their most famous results in recent campaigns. The Cottagers were by far the better team away at Manchester United last weekend, and they have now managed to beat Arsenal and the Red Devils in the past eight weeks.

As for Brighton & Hove Albion, they are still struggling to find any sort of consistency and have kept only one clean sheet in the past month in the Premier League which was in a draw with Wolves.

They've have even lost 4-0 away to Luton Town in 2024, but managed to beat Sheffield United 5-2 and 5-0 in the FA Cup and Premier League, respectively, while the Seagulls have also beaten Crystal Palace 4-1. They have now managed to score 49 goals and let in 41 in the Premier League, while Fulham have racked up 36 of their own and let in 42.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in this game sits at 5/6 (1.83).

Manchester City vs Manchester United – More derby delight for City

After United’s recent loss to Fulham and Rasmus Hojlund’s absence from this derby, this game could be a case of over 2.5 goals just in the favour of City alone. On the other hand, in the three meetings between these two last season, both teams did score and over 2.5 goals hit the back of the net.

This started with a stunning 6-3 win for City at the Etihad before United won 2-1 at Old Trafford. The Manchester derby also took over Wembley for the FA Cup final, as City won 2-1.

Indeed, City have won the majority of these derbies since Pep Guardiola took to the helm, but the champions are also not in the best period of form after narrowly beating Brentford and Bournemouth and drawing at home to Chelsea.

United – despite usually losing to City – do also tend to at least get a goal. BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals betting is at 10/11 (1.91) for this one.
