Porto produced their biggest attacking display of the new campaign last weekend when Andre Silva, Gabri Veiga and William Gomes all found the net before half-time in a 3-0 victory over newly promoted Academico de Viseu.
That result followed league victories over Alverca, Rio Ave and Arouca, with Francesco Farioli’s side scoring twice in each of those three matches before increasing their attacking output against Academico.
Porto's defensive approach also proved central to their title-winning campaign last season, when they recorded a league-leading 21 clean sheets and have carried that solidity into the early stages of the new term.
Veiga has emerged as one of the Dragons' key attacking contributors, directly producing five goals across the opening four league matches and adding both a goal and an assist against Academico.
Moreirense, meanwhile, will travel to the Dragao after finally securing their first victory of the campaign with a 1-0 success away to Casa Pia last weekend.
Kiko provided the decisive moment with an audacious finish, giving Vasco Botelho da Costa's side a welcome lift after they opened the season with a draw against Braga and a heavy 4-0 loss to Arouca.
The Green and Whites’ scheduled meeting with Benfica was postponed because of the Lisbon club's European commitments, meaning Moreirense will now face two members of Portugal's traditional big three in the space of five days.
Botelho da Costa guided Moreirense to seventh place last season during his first full campaign in charge, and the 37-year-old will be hoping the victory at Casa Pia provides a platform for another competitive season.

Whispers predicts: Porto 2-0 Moreirense
Porto's win price of 1.25 offers limited return on its own, but combining victory with under 4.5 goals at 1.45 (9/20) provides a more appealing option while still allowing plenty of room for the Dragons to secure another controlled success.
The both teams to score – No at 1.50 (1/2) is also worth considering, as the hosts have consistently kept opponents at arm's length during the early stages of the season and Moreirense could find chances difficult to come by at the Dragao.
Gabri Veiga to score or assist at 1.66 (33/50) offers another attractive angle after the midfielder has played a direct role in five goals across Porto's opening four league games.
A 2-0 Porto victory at 5.50 (9/2) therefore looks like an appealing correct-score selection, reflecting the hosts' ability to control matches without necessarily needing to turn the contest into a high-scoring affair.
