Norwich vs Swansea prediction: Home team to get the points

Key stats

  • Norwich have only lost twice at home in the Championship this season.
  • Three of the previous four meetings between Norwich and Swansea have gone over 2.5 total goals.

Correct score prediction: Norwich 2-1 Swansea

With Norwich playing high-scoring games when hosting this season and the recent H2H duels between these teams usually ending with plenty of goals, we can see that being the case on Saturday. We also see Norwich edging out a win after losing two games in a row to get back to their winning ways before those losses.

Looking at these Norwich vs Swansea odds, we can see that the hosts are the expected winners, which isn't a surprise considering Norwich are a couple of points ahead of Swansea in the standings, plus they'll host the game.

The Canaries have also been in better form than the Swans recently, so while the guests aren't without a chance, it's clear why the hosts are favoured to win.

Norwich preview: Hoping to return back to winning

After four games without a loss in the league, three of which they've won, Norwich have lost their last two games. That being said, the losses came against Sheffield United and Leeds, the top two teams in the standings, and both away from home. With that in mind, the Canaries have every reason to hope for a win over Swansea City at home, a win they need if they want to stay close to the playoff zone.

Norwich will again miss their best scorer this season Borja Sainz through suspension, but they will also be without injured Gabriel Forsyth, Josh Ginnelly, Liam Gibbs, and Ben Slimane.

Predicted lineup: Gunn (GK), Stacey, Duffy, Doyle, Mahovo, Fisher, McLean, Marcondes, Hernandez, Dobbin & Sargent

Swansea preview: Not a good start of the new year

After ending 224 with two wins in a row, Swansea haven't done well in 2025. In their five games in all competitions, Swansea have lost four times and drew once. Overall, Swansea are 15th in the standings with 34 points from 28 games, which puts them equally far from the playoff zone and the relegation zone.

When it comes to team news, Kristian Pedersen and Oliver Cooper remain on the sidelines with injuries.

Predicted lineup: Vigouroux (GK), Key, Cabango, Darling, Tyson, Franco, Grimes, Allen, Ronald, Cullen & Bianchini

Player to watch: Josh Sargent

With Norwich having to manage without their top scorer Borja Sainz, other players will have to shoulder the offensive load for them and that primarily concerns Sargent. The 24-year-old American forward has done reasonably well this season with the opportunities he was given, helping his team with four goals and five assists.
