The Netherlands and Morocco meet at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey in one of the most anticipated World Cup 2026 first-round knockout fixtures.
The Atlas Lions secured second position in Group C, behind Brazil, on goal difference. They finished the group stages unbeaten, winning two and drawing once.
Meanwhile, the Oranje also won two of their three games, drawing the other. But they finished top of Group F with seven points, ahead of Japan and Sweden.
The two sides met in the 1994 World Cup, here on USA soil. The Netherlands won 2-1 over Morocco back then in the group stages. However, this time around, the stakes are higher.
They met twice in friendlies after their World Cup clash. Morrocco won a friendly 2-1 in 1999, while Netherlands emerged victorious 2-1 in their latest meeting in 2017.
