Authenticity (4/5): Romano reveals Napoli's new target

The very reliable Fabrizio Romano is reporting this development, and he adds that the Germany international has also been approached by the Serie A outfit.
Value (4/5): Two clubs appear to be on the same page
The Partenopei and the Bundesliga outfit are understood to be negotiating a package worth £38million for Adeyemi, and it seems Dortmund are open to parting ways with the young winger, who has five goals and five assists across all competitions. His form has also attracted interest from Chelsea.
Suitability (3.5/5): Can play on both flanks
The 23-year-old winger is comfortable playing on both flanks. However, what makes him appealing with respect to Antonio Conte's counter-attacking system is his incredible pace and ability to perfectly time his run behind the defence. Both traits could be key in exploiting teams on the break.
Upgrade? (3.5/5): Kvaratskhelia replacement
The obvious void in Napoli's lineup is the left-wing that has been recently vacated by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has left Naples for Paris. Adeyemi, who has played six times as a left-winger this season, is likely to come in as his direct replacement.
Logic (4/5): Right step
The highly-rated winger has shown plenty of signs of promise in Germany but Dortmund have more or less failed to really get the best out of his potential. A move to Italy under a manager whose tactics suit his style could prove to be a game changer for Adeyemi.
Whisper+ verdict: 19/25
After Kvaratskhelia's sale, Napoli certainly have the budget to get this deal over the line. More importantly, Dortmund appear more open to selling their winger than United.
