Mohammed Kudus’ next club: Gunners to break the bank?

Mohammed Kudus enjoyed a very successful debut Premier League season with West Ham as they secured a top-half finish and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Kudus played a huge role in West Ham's success, registering 14 goals and six assists across all competitions. So, while Hammers fans will be thankful they've found such a talented winger, his ability has attracted interest from not just the Premier League, but all over the world.

The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are said to be keen on the Ghanaian international who only signed a four-year contract with the Hammers last summer.

So, we're going to delve into the top five likely landing spots for Kudus this summer.

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta's men look to be the front runners for Kudud as they go in search of more depth out wide. It was an issue last season for Arsenal and Arteta who were asking Bukayo Saka in particular, to play an absurd amount of games.

Both Saka and Gabriel Martinelli featured in 35 Premier League games last season, but the Brazilian put up worse numbers than Kudus. So, an upgrade could well be on the card this summer if the Gunners can convince West Ham's star to join them, something they failed to do 12 months ago.

Manchester City

Given their embarrassment of riches, Manchester City are always going to be near the top of the list when it comes to an exciting talent. City recruited Jeremy Doku last season but with Bernardo Silva's future constantly up in the air, Kudus could be a viable option.

City have been linked with the £100 million-rated Bruno Guimaraes, so they must have cash to spend this summer, and a valuation of around £85 million for Kudus won't likely put off the eight-time Premier League champions.

Liverpool

Liverpool are thought to be one of the more interested parties in Kudus as they look to give Arne Slot all the help he needs to succeed. However, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota already within their ranks, this doesn't appear to be an area in which improvement is desperately required.

Chelsea

Much like Man City, since Todd Boehly took over at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have been linked with more players than most other clubs. The Blues, however, would need to move on someone such as Noni Madueke or Raheem Sterling to create space in their winger department, so this could well be a move which comes off later in the window.

Al-Ittihad

As the Saudi Arabian transfer wind opened on July 1st, we can expect to see some big fees being thrown about for a lot of stars in Europe's top five leagues. While some may well see this as a huge downgrade for Kudus to leave West Ham, money always talks and there have been countless players moving to the Middle East in recent times.

Kudus does still have time and a long contract on his side, so a move this summer may not be near the top of his to-do list, but if an attractive offer came the Hammers' way, he may have to cut short his time in East London.
