Manchester United are very interested in one of this season's Premier League sensations and are considering taking action in the winter transfer window.

During the last summer transfer window, Manchester United focused on strengthening their attacking sector by signing Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko. However, the Red Devils do not yet seem satisfied and already intend to sign a new striker in the winter transfer window.

That is at least what can be deduced from information revealed by The Daily Briefing. Manchester United are very interested in Antoine Semenyo's profile. After attempting to recruit him this summer in vain, the Mancunian club would like to try their luck again in January 2026.

Manchester United want to beat competition for

The Ghanaian is enjoying an exceptional start to the season with Bournemouth and presents himself as one of the sensations of the championship with six goals and three assists in 11 Premier League matches. According to the same source, the Red Devils would be prepared to make a significant offer for Semenyo, who is also considered by Liverpool as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.

The British outlet mentions an offer of around £65m from Manchester United for the Cherries' star. The Mancunian club are announced as pole position in this case and would want to act quickly to “get ahead of the competition, notably that of Liverpool, but also Arsenal and Manchester City,” writes The Daily Briefing.

Bournemouth demanding €90m for Semenyo?

However, this offer might not be enough to convince Bournemouth. Indeed, whilst the 25-year-old right winger, who can play in all attacking positions, is valued at €55m (£47m) by Transfermarkt, the Cherries could ask for up to £80m in this case, according to the same source.

In any case, the Premier League side intend to do everything to keep their Ghana international until the end of the season, having extended his contract until June 2030 this summer. Bournemouth therefore have no interest in selling Antoine Semenyo in January, unless there is an XXL offer from Manchester United?
