Journalist Graeme Bailey explained that whilst Joshua Zirkzee was initially supposed to be loaned out this winter, this Benjamin Sesko injury disrupts Manchester United's plans. The Dutch striker will therefore have the opportunity to prove he can establish himself as a starter during this period. Last season, he only scored seven goals and failed to convince his manager.
For the moment, Joshua Zirkzee has only totalled 82 minutes in the Premier League. Meagre playing time that will inevitably increase, particularly during AFCON. But as explained previously, Manchester United's objective for the next transfer window remains the recruitment of a midfielder.
