Manchester City could part ways with a forward who has been out of form since the start of the season. However, he could still fetch a handsome sum for Pep Guardiola's side.
After a turbulent season on the pitch, the English club decided to buy and sell this summer, bringing Rayan Cherki, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Tijjani Reijnders to the Etihad Stadium, while parting ways with Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson. And Manchester City have rediscovered their place at the top, sitting just two points behind Arsenal (1st) in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, not everything is rosy within the squad.
Manchester City unhappy with winger
Indeed, as reported by Football Insider, Savinho has not satisfied Manchester City in this first half of the season. The 21-year-old Brazilian has particularly modest statistics – two goals, three assists – and has fallen behind Rayan Cherki and Jeremy Doku in Pep Guardiola's thinking and on the pitch. For his part, the former Troyes and Girona player is unhappy with his playing time overall, having started just seven times this season in 21 appearances.

Called up 13 times for Brazil, Savinho “would be ready to leave” the English club in January, with the 2026 World Cup looming at the end of the season. As things stand, it seems difficult to believe that the number 26 will make Carlo Ancelotti's squad. And Manchester City will not stand in their player's way.
Savinho, recently extended and soon to be sold by Manchester City?
The right winger joined the Citizens in 2024 and lived up to expectations last season – 48 matches, three goals, 13 assists. This motivated the Premier League runners-up's hierarchy to offer him a contract extension until June 2031 in October 2025. But, because “things move fast in football” as the famous saying goes, Savinho is now heading for the exit, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €45m (£39.5m).
It should also be noted that Manchester City are considering Antoine Semenyo, the in-form Bournemouth winger – eight goals and three assists in 17 matches. Pep Guardiola's club are even on the verge of beating the competition to the 25-year-old Ghanaian. Could this push Savinho further towards the exit door?
