Manchester City have already spent heavily during this summer transfer window, but the English club are looking to boost their funds with several departures in the coming days.

The 2024-25 season is one to forget for City, and with the Premier League set to kick off against Wolves on 16 August, the Sky Blues want to be fully prepared. The club's hierarchy also aim to strengthen the squad with a possible new attacking signing, while offloading a number of unwanted players.

According to Fabrizio Romano, James McAtee is close to joining Nottingham Forest for an offer worth more than £20m. Despite showing some promise, the 23-year-old attacking midfielder no longer features in Pep Guardiola's plans. Another player set to depart is Jack Grealish, who is expected to join Everton on loan.

Signed for £100m in the summer of 2021, Grealish has never truly lived up to the weight of that record fee. According to Romano, a non-mandatory clause has been included in his loan to Everton, with a purchase option set at £50m. In total, City could recoup at least £70m from these two exits.

And that is not all, as Tottenham have also tabled a £43m offer for Savinho. Negotiations are ongoing, with City potentially preparing a move for Rodrygo. Recent rumours make it clear that the transfer window is far from over for the English giants.
