This story is being reported by teamtalk.com after transfer expert Fabrizio Romano named the 22-year-old on their list of options to sign this month or in the summer.
Value (4/5): Still a bargain despite rise
Dorgeles’ market value doubled during 2024, as the left-winger has contributed six goals and six assists to Salzburg’s season so far.
That value, though, has increased to just £6.75 million, as stated on Transfermarkt. This means United could have a real bargain on their hands if they move quickly.
Suitability (3/5): Capable of playing at the top?
After arriving from Mali in 2021, Dorgeles has had a few loan spells in Austria and Belgium before breaking into the Salzburg first team.
An ability to play across the front line will be beneficial for United, but no experience of major leagues is a minus and no goal involvements in the UEFA Champions League proper this season won’t inspire confidence.
Upgrade? (2.5/5): Both left-wingers leaving
It would be no surprise if neither Rashford nor Alejandro Garnacho were United players come the end of the window. The Red Devils, therefore, need reinforcements on the left to suit Ruben Amorim’s style.
Dorgeles would clearly be better than nothing, but it remains to be seen if he is capable of offering more than the outgoing players.

United’s list of potential left-wingers is long and features more experienced players than Dorgeles, yet with two players on their way out, the signing of Dorgeles as a back-up makes good sense.
