Whisper+ analysis
Authenticity (2/5): Man United weighing up Eze move
Man United are reportedly showing an interest in Eze ahead of the summer transfer window.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Man United's recruitment team are considering him as a potential transfer target.
Value (2/5): Eze's asking price could be an issue
The report claims that Palace will demand at least £60m to even consider sanctioning Eze's departure this summer. The Eagles are under no immediate pressure to sell with the player under contract until the summer of 2027.
Man United may find it difficult to meet Palace's asking price as they look to meet the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules. As a result, they will have to sell players to help fund any potential move.
Suitability (4/5): Suits Amorim's system
Man United head coach Amorim is said to be an admirer of Eze, partly because he has proven he is suitable for his tactical system. Eze currently plays as one of two number 10s in Oliver Glasner's 3-4-2-1 formation at Palace.
Amorim uses the same formation and seemingly views Eze as a suitable candidate to strengthen his side.
Upgrade? (3.5/5): Garnacho replacement
Eze has scored six goals and provided nine assists in 31 competitive appearances this season, including two goal contributions in Saturday's 3-0 win over Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The England international may be seen as a replacement for Alejandro Garnacho, who continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Logic (3/5): New challenge
Eze may be looking for a fresh challenge after spending five years at Selhurst Park. A club the size of Man United will be an appealing option, while he is also said to be a target for Tottenham Hotspur.
However, those two clubs are at risk of missing out on European football for next season, which may dissuade Eze if a more appealing option comes to fruition in the summer window.
Whisper+ verdict: 14/25
Eze has proven at Palace that he would suit Amorim's system. However, Palace's asking price could prove to be a major stumbling block, while Eze may also want to join a club that can offer him European football if he leaves Selhurst Park this summer.
