Man City transfer news: PSG now ready to hijack Cityzens move for English wonderkid in January

Paris Saint-Germain would be prepared to beat the competition for a particularly promising young English player, already followed by Manchester City notably.

The French capital club struggled to overcome Lyon (3-2) on Sunday evening, scoring a goal in added time. Once again league leaders, after being temporarily overtaken by OM, PSG were able to observe, off the pitch, that an alternative to Bradley Barcola, namely Morgan Rogers, had extended until June 2031 with his club, Aston Villa. Enough to push Paris sporting director Luis Campos to continue his searches in attack on the transfer market?

PSG on English wonderkid

According to revelations from TBR Football, Paris Saint-Germain are now very interested in young Jeremy Monga. Aged 16, the left winger, who can play on the right or centrally, is regularly used at 12th-placed Championship (English second tier) side Leicester City – 12 appearances, one goal, one assist.

But his precocity and talent are attracting numerous interests. Manchester United are notably attempting to get ahead of Manchester City on the case, whilst Newcastle, Tottenham and Arsenal have made enquiries about the Englishman. Real Madrid are also mentioned.

Competition for PSG

That said, Jeremy Monga does not appear as a short-term solution for Luis Enrique's squad, whilst the player in question has only started six times this season with a British second-tier outfit. But, like many major clubs in Europe, PSG want to prepare for the future as early as possible.

Hence this interest in an English wonderkid, more precocious than Jobe Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund). As reported by Transfermarkt, Jeremy Monga's market value is already €8m (£6.8m). TBR Football indicates that PSG could take action during the January 2026 transfer window.
