Lorient vs Nice Top Betting Predictions and Odds
Lorient lost a bit of their momentum by drawing the last two games, but still, have a good chance of catching the leaders PSG.
Lorient to Win
Nice will have a different issue this week, playing in Europe Conference League. It's an important game so there will be a sense of urgency, and the Lorient game will have to be put on the back burner. Lorient, on the other hand, doesn't have that problem. They will have plenty of time to prepare for their Ligue 1 encounter and try to defend their eight-game unbeaten run.
Under 2.5 Goals
It may seem strange to aim for a low-scoring game because Lorient has been terrific with ‘over' matches this season. However, the same cannot be said about Nice who is last in the league with the fewest ‘over' games. Lorient played four out of their five home games with more than two goals, but they also only allowed five goals in that period, the same amount that Nice scored as an away team.
Important information about Lorient vs Nice
Lorient needs to take advantage of its opponent's struggles
Lorient has been very consistent in scoring goals this season. In their twelve games, they didn't score only once, two weeks ago in their most disappointing result this term, a goalless draw at home against Reims. Also, this is the only home game they had without covering the ‘over'. Lorient does have issues, they allow a goal every game on average, but those problems haven't hurt them this season. At least, not yet. An important factor in their success this season is the fact they are winning games despite having injury problems. The main issue, however, for the next couple of weeks at least will be scoring goals without injured star striker Terem Moffi.
Lorient probable 11: Mvogo, Le Bris, Laporte, Talbi, Le Goff, Innocent, Le Fee, Diarra, Ponceau, Ouattara, Kone.
Nice's main problem is repeated every week, it's the lack of goal-scoring. They only have 11 goals scored which is the second-worst mark in Ligue 1. Lucien Favre was brought back as the manager after a good first stint at the club, but so far he has failed in recapturing the magic. Nice often plays without real direction, and when they go down a goal or two, they have a hard time coming back. The last week they barely did it at home against Nantes taking only a point. Their troubles are worsening because of an injury to their top scorer Andy Delort who will be out until mid-November.
Nice's probable 11: Schmeichel, Viti, Dante, Todibo, Bryan, Thuram, Lemina, Lotomba, Barkley, Laborde, Pepe.
Lorient: Samuel Loric, Terem Moffi, Laurent Abergel, and Gedeon Kalulu are injured.
Nice: Andy Delort and Sofiane Diop are missing with injuries.
