Liverpool faced Man Utd in April 2022 in hot pursuit of a historic quadruple. Ralf Rangnick was the interim United manager at this point but the Red Devils were just as pitiful at Anfield as they had been at Old Trafford six months earlier. Liverpool won 4-0 without ever getting out of second gear with the goals coming from Diaz, Mane and Salah (2). Liverpool ultimately fell short in their hunt for four trophies, finishing 2nd in the Premier League and losing the UCL final.
Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool – 22nd August 2022
After losing 9-0 to Liverpool across two games in the 2021/22 season, United faced Liverpool at the beginning of the 2022/23 season on the back of a 4-0 drubbing at Brentford. The United faithful were fearing the worst but their team put in an impressive display to give Ten Hag his first win as Man Utd manager. Jadon Sancho opened the scoring before Rashford made it 2-0 shortly after half time. Salah scored a consolation late on but United hung on for the three points.

In March 2023, Liverpool produced another demolition job on their great rivals.
