Man Utd 2-4 Liverpool – 13th May 2021

Man Utd faced Liverpool at Old Trafford in May 2021 in a match that was initially cancelled due to fan protests against the Glazer ownership. United's faint title hopes had ended by this point while Liverpool were chasing wins to finish inside the top four. In a six-goal thriller that was played behind closed doors, Liverpool got the win thanks to a double from Roberto Firmon and further goals from Diogo Jota and Mo Salah.

Man Utd 0-5 Liverpool – 24th October 2021

Liverpool's biggest-ever away victory against Man Utd came in October 2021 at Old Trafford. Liverpool were dominant from start to finish and they were four up at the break. United brought Paul Pogba on at half time and he saw red just 15 minutes later after Salah had already made it 5-0. The goal was the beginning of the end for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Man Utd manager and he was sacked two months later.

Liverpool 4-0 Man Utd – 19th April 2022

Liverpool faced Man Utd in April 2022 in hot pursuit of a historic quadruple. Ralf Rangnick was the interim United manager at this point but the Red Devils were just as pitiful at Anfield as they had been at Old Trafford six months earlier. Liverpool won 4-0 without ever getting out of second gear with the goals coming from Diaz, Mane and Salah (2). Liverpool ultimately fell short in their hunt for four trophies, finishing 2nd in the Premier League and losing the UCL final.

Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool – 22nd August 2022

After losing 9-0 to Liverpool across two games in the 2021/22 season, United faced Liverpool at the beginning of the 2022/23 season on the back of a 4-0 drubbing at Brentford. The United faithful were fearing the worst but their team put in an impressive display to give Ten Hag his first win as Man Utd manager. Jadon Sancho opened the scoring before Rashford made it 2-0 shortly after half time. Salah scored a consolation late on but United hung on for the three points.

Liverpool 7-0 Man Utd – 5th March 2023

The most recent Liverpool vs Man Utd H2H was another demolition job. Strangely, coming into the match Man Utd were in decent form while Liverpool were struggling and the away side were arguably the better team in the first half. However, a Cody Gakpo goal just before half time triggered a United collapse that lasted the entire second half. The match finished 7-0 on a day that the Anfield faithful will never forget.

Potential MVP – Mo Salah

Mo Salah was reportedly on the verge of moving to the Saudi Pro League in the summer but how glad must Liverpool be that they elected to reject several big-money offers for the Egyptian? Salah has looked as good as ever this season and has already recorded eleven goals and seven assists in the Premier League.

He is undoubtedly still the star man at Anfield and his record against Man Utd is impressive, to say the least. He has scored 12 goals in 12 games against United, with eleven of those coming in the last six Liverpool vs Man Utd H2Hs. You would be foolish to bet against him adding to that tally on Sunday.
