RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande is attracting major interest following an impressive season, with Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Manchester United among the clubs tracking him. Yet the Ivory Coast international could yet remain in Germany.

Liverpool‘s interest is understood to be particularly serious. With Mohamed Salah's departure confirmed, Arne Slot's side are actively seeking a dynamic wide forward to fill the void left by the Egyptian, and Diomande has emerged as one of their primary targets for that role. His directness, pace and output in the final third make him a profile that fits precisely what Liverpool are looking for on the right flank.

The 19-year-old has been one of the most talked-about names in the transfer market for several months. Signed by Leipzig last summer for £17m (€20m), he wasted no time in justifying the faith shown in him after his eye-catching spell at CD Leganes, contributing 13 goals and ten assists in 36 appearances this season.

That form has captured the attention of some of Europe's most powerful clubs. Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly plotted a £85m (€100m) move for the winger, while interest from the Premier League — Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United in particular — continues to grow.

Diomande ‘wants to stay' at RB Leipzig — but…

Speaking to Kicker about his future, Diomande was direct in underlining his connection to the club.

‘I am under contract at Leipzig and I love playing here. My contract runs until 2030, so I have four years left. I am a Leipzig player' — he said.

Those words will reassure the German club's supporters, with RB Leipzig set to compete in the Champions League next season. The sporting arguments for staying another year at the third-placed Bundesliga side remain convincing, even as opportunities at bigger clubs continue to present themselves.

…but the winger has his sights set on a bigger stage

Diomande made no secret of his ambitions, however.

‘Of course, if you imagine someone telling you that you have to go to Chelsea or Real Madrid to do this job, you will be happy and motivated to do more. Everyone has ambitions, me included. My dream is to play at the highest level possible' — he added.

The left winger will not spend his entire career at RB Leipzig. After the 2026-27 season, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Arsenal or others are likely to find it easier to persuade the German club financially — Leipzig are expected to hold firm this summer, buoyed by Diomande's desire to stay. Unless, of course, an elite club decides to go all out and force the issue in the next transfer window.
