West Ham are stepping up their pursuit of Monaco midfielder Soungoutou Magassa after officially submitting a bid for the player.
The versatile 21-year-old plays prefers to play as a holding midfielder, but he can also operate in a box-to-box role and as a centre-back. Magassa started a total of 16 games for Monaco last season and featured in the Champions League.
