Tottenham now chase former PSG target as Eberechi Eze alternative

After failing to secure the signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, Tottenham are now turning their attention to AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, according to reports.
Despite winning the Europa League last season and securing their spot in the Champions League, Spurs lost the battle for Eze to London rivals Arsenal.
With James Maddison sidelined through an injury and Morgan Gibbs-White opting to extend his contract with Nottingham Forest, Spurs are still chasing a creative midfielder.
Akliouche could be the answer for Thomas Frank and his side, though his signature would cost upwards of £70m. The good news is that PSG appear to have ended their pursuit for the player, leaving Spurs with a clear path to get the deal done.
Liverpool set to offload forgotten star before Deadline Day

Liverpool are reportedly looking to part ways with Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas before the end of the summer transfer window.
Olympique Marseille have made a serious approach for the 29-year-old, who is looking for more game time after playing a limited role for the Reds last season.
According to the Guardian, Arne Slot’s side will not stand in his way, with a potential deal set to be worth around the £14m mark.
With Andrew Robertson and Milos Kerkez in the squad, Tsimikas finds himself well down the pecking order. Tsimikas is under contract with the Reds until 2026, though he is unlikely to see it through – especially with Marseille looking to get the deal done.

The versatile 21-year-old plays prefers to play as a holding midfielder, but he can also operate in a box-to-box role and as a centre-back. Magassa started a total of 16 games for Monaco last season and featured in the Champions League.

The France U21 international could become West Ham's seventh permanent signing during this summer window. The Irons have so far splashed upwards of £70m on Mads Hermansen, El Hadji Malick Diouf and Jean-Clair Todibo.
Following their dreadful season last year and a disappointing start to the 2025/26 campaign, West Ham fans will be looking for more as we head closer towards the end of the window.
