Chelsea ponder FC Porto raid for £63m duo

Chelsea are considering making a blockbuster double swoop for the FC Porto duo of Samu Aghehowa and Victor Forholdt, according to a recent report by TEAMtalk.
Spanish striker Aghehowa is valued at around £43m by Transfermarkt, though Porto are reportedly looking to get in the region of £88m for his services.
Froholdt, meanwhile, has an estimated value of £19m, though reports indicate that the player has a release clause in his Porto contract worth £75m.
While the combined worth of both players is around £63m, Chelsea would need to dig a lot deeper into their pockets in order to make this deal a reality. On top of that, the Blues are facing stiff competition for both players, namely from Tottenham and Man United.
Man United to face rejection in Elliot Anderson pursuit

Man United will be looking to beef up their squad over the January transfer window, though their pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson is unlikely to bear fruit, with ESPN reporting that the club are ready to reject bids.
Anderson – alongside Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba – is one of many players on United’s radar heading into the next transfer window.
Forest signed the midfielder from Newcastle in the summer of 2024 for approximately £35m, though United may be forced to pay a lot more considering the player has taken his game to a whole new level in recent times.
Transfermarkt estimates Anderson’s worth to be in the region of £40m, though Forest are unlikely to part with the England international for that amount – especially with the 23-year-old tied to the club until the summer of 2029.
Crystal Palace want Newcastle’s Joe Willock

High-flying Crystal Palace are looking to bolster their squad ahead of a potential Champions League push, and Newcastle’s Joe Willock is firmly on their radar, according to the latest information from the Telegraph.
The 26-year-old has been a benchwarmer for the Magpies this season, and the North East club are reportedly looking to get the player off their books in the near future.
Willock’s current contract does not expire until the summer of 2027, meaning Newcastle could be looking to sell as soon as the January transfer window.
Eddie Howe’s men are looking to make a move for AZ Alkmaar teenager Kees Smit, and the departure of Willock would undoubtedly inch that deal closer.
