A summer of shifting ambitions is beginning to take shape, with several Premier League clubs weighing up bold moves in the transfer market.

Liverpool have identified Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries as a potential target this summer.

According to reports, the Reds could be looking to replace Jeremie Frimpong less than one year after he arrived at Anfield, with the Merseyside outfit ‘seriously considering' selling him.

The fellow Netherlands star has long been on Liverpool's radar, as manager Arne Slot tried to sign the 30-year-old on loan during the January transfer window.

Dumfries has a release clause of just £22 million, making him a cheap replacement for Frimpong, should they decide to sell him this off-season.

Chelsea have made the first move to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi ahead of the summer transfer window.

Reports in Germany claim the London side have made ‘contact' with the 24-year-old's representatives ahead of a potential move.

Premier League rivals Manchester United and Newcastle United are also mooted with interest, so a deal is far from simple heading into next season.

It's also claimed that the Bundesliga outfit would only think about selling him if an offer in the region of £60 million were to come in, though he is about to enter the final year of his current contract.

Meanwhile, Everton have emerged as the front-runner to sign rising Middlesbrough star Hayden Hackney.

According to new claims, the Toffees are now preparing a move for the 23-year-old midfielder, with the club's recruitment team huge admirers.

It's believed that the Merseyside outfit are ‘leading the race' to sign him, and they are in a strong position as the Englishman is only under contract until 2027.

However, it remains to be seen what sort of fee the Championship side would command, particularly as they remain in the hunt for promotion this season.
