Liverpool are showing serious interest in Mexican teenager Gilberto Mora as the race for one of world football's most exciting young talents gathers pace.
According to TEAMtalk, the Reds have made direct ‘contact' with the 17-year-old's representatives and are viewed as the leading Premier League contenders for his signature.
Mora has enhanced his reputation with Club Tijuana and Mexico, becoming his country's youngest senior international goalscorer after impressing during the 2026 World Cup.
A transfer fee of around £23m has been mooted for the attacking midfielder, with Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, Real Madrid and Barcelona also monitoring his situation.

Manchester United have received a significant boost in their pursuit of RB Leipzig left-back David Raum ahead of the January transfer window.
Reports now suggest the 28-year-old is open to a move to Old Trafford, with the Germany international keen to test himself in the Premier League.
