Liverpool close in on signing the next Sadio Mane

According to reports, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Senegalese teenager Sidy Barhama Ndiaye from Diambars FC after the winger impressed during the U17 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
The 15-year-old wonderkid has already spent some time impressing staff at the AXA Training Centre, featuring in a behind-closed-doors training match, but due to his age, he cannot officially arrive on Merseyside anytime soon. Ndiaye will have to wait until his 18th birthday in December 2027 to make the switch, meaning it's unlikely fans get to see him in a Reds shirt until January 2028.
Arne Slot has welcomed as many as six new signings to Anfield this summer, including the club-record arrival of Florian Wirtz, his Bayer Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong and full-back Milos Kerkez. All of whom will be expected to make an instant impact, unlike the young teen, who is certainly one for the long-term future.
Ndiaye is said to possess blistering speed and pace, which has earned lofty comparisons to his compatriot and Liverpool legend Sadio Mane. If he ends up being half the player of the former Reds winger, then he has done very well indeed.
Arsenal now seek Eberechi Eze alternatives

Elsewhere, Arsenal remain interested in signing England and Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, but have now drawn up alternative plans in case they cannot get a deal done before deadline day on September 1st.
As per football.london, manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta are thought to be keen on a loan move for Real Madrid star Rodrygo, while Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon is also listed among the potential options, with the 24-year-old said to have long-term admirers in north London.
Despite his rumoured £200k-per-week wages, the Brazil international could represent a cheaper deal for the Gunners in the short-term, as Eze has a reported £68m release clause.
Last season, Rodrygo contributed fewer goals and assists per 90 than the Englishman, but given that he is a three-time La Liga champion and two-time Champions League winner, he could help the north Londoners finally lift that long-awaited league title.
Chelsea reach personal agreement to sign Alejandro Garnacho

And finally, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano dropped a transfer bombshell earlier in the day, claiming that Chelsea had reached an agreement on personal terms with Manchester United outcast Alejandro Garnacho.
He claims that the player has wanted to join the Blues since July, and it's now on the two top-flight rivals to agree on a fee before he can make the switch from Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge.

Reports earlier in the summer suggested that the Red Devils wanted around £50m despite the winger being told he has no future under Ruben Amorim. Garnacho, an academy graduate at Carrington, featured 58 times and contributed towards 21 goals for United last season, but has spent pre-season training away from the first team.
The Argentina international's versatility is likely a key attribute that has attracted interest from Maresca, with the dynamic playmaker capable of playing on both wings as well as through the middle as a number ten.
Chelsea have a little under a week to get this deal over the line if he's to face Crystal Palace in their season opener on August 17th.
