Manchester United‘s search for defensive reinforcements has now taken them to Ligue 1, according to reports.
The Red Devils are taking a close look at Toulouse centre-back Charlie Cresswell and are said to ‘really like' him ahead of the summer transfer window.
United are considering their options, and the former Leeds United and England U21 international appears to be a serious candidate heading into the off-season.
It remains to be seen exactly how much the French outfit would want to sanction a sale, with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg failing with their advances in January.

Arsenal are said to be among the teams considering a move for Barcelona winger Ferran Torres this summer.
That's according to reports in Spain, which claim the 26-year-old has three clear options to leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season.
The Gunners, who are thought to be ‘monitoring his situation, are named alongside league rivals United and fellow LaLiga side Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona could be forced into a sale in order to strengthen their own ranks, with Torres valued at around £44 million.
Nathan Ake could return to Chelsea

Meanwhile, there are interesting claims that Manchester City defender Nathan Ake could now be preparing to return to his former club, Chelsea.
The Sun suggest the Netherlands international is building a home close to the Blues' training ground in Cobham, with the intention of it being his main residence.
That would be a strange move if he were to remain at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, and considering he has fallen out of favour under Pep Guardiola this season, he could well be on the move.
Chelsea do lack some experience, given their recent recruitment strategy, so the 31-year-old could be a shrewd acquisition and one potentially available on the cheap as he is about to enter the final 12 months of his current contract.
